How it started
Jeff Leahy and Bryan Thomas started BlazeBite in 2018 after too many nights watching fans give up on the concession line. The first version was a mobile ordering app for one high school. We spent the next few years making it work on real Friday nights: bad Wi-Fi, volunteers who had never used it, and a rush that hits all at once at halftime.
Today BlazeBite is the terminal, the mobile ordering, the self-checkout kiosk, and the fundraising tools for school booster clubs, food trucks, golf events, and minor league teams. The team is based in Ohio, and the people who answer support have stood in a concession stand.
What has not changed: it has to work for a volunteer on their first shift, and the report has to match the cash box at the end of the night.
