Six steps to live
- 1
Stick it behind the TV
Mount the Pi on the back of the TV so it is not left hanging by the cable. Keep the ports facing out where you can reach them.
- 2
Plug in, power last
HDMI: small end into the Pi (either port is fine), big end into the TV. Remote dongle: into a USB port on the Pi. Power: plug in last, so it starts up ready to go.
- 3
Pick the HDMI input
Turn the TV on. Use the TV remote's Input or Source button and choose the HDMI port you plugged into.
- 4
Wait for the setup screen
After a minute or two, the blue BlazeBite Wi-Fi Setup screen with a QR code appears. That's your cue. It restarts itself once along the way, which is normal.
- 5
Connect to Wi-Fi
Point your phone camera at the QR code. Tap Join when it asks to join BlazeBite-Setup. A setup page opens on its own, so pick your venue's network from the list and enter the password. The TV switches to BlazeBite when you're done.
- 6
Enter your pairing code
Once BlazeBite loads, enter the 6-character pairing code for this display. Pairing sticks after this, so you only do it once. Then pick Dark or Light and an accent color to match your school or venue, and your live menu comes up on its own.

Stuck on the Wi-Fi screen?
Rejoin the setup network on your phone, then re-enter the venue Wi-Fi password.
